I am sorry to say but this is not good news - in almost all cases i can think of where this has either happened to me or a friend the guy wants to keep you a secret b/c he's doesn't want someone (usually another woman) to find out.
And if it is just the fact that he's got probs with saying your 'dating' which i doubt, but if it's true - he's weird and can't think that much of you.
You deserve better than that, unless you are happy keeping him a secret so that you can see others, and play him ay his own game.
A man should be proud to be dating you.

Well I found out that yes he was using me we were together every last second of every day for months we were always flirting and calling each other like 5 times a day minimum, I left for vacation he would call and tell me how much he missed me when i got back we started to get very intimate and yes of course we slept together many times and yet when we were in public he would refer to me as a friend this oviosbly(sp?) bothered me I told him i was falling for him and that if this was not going too go anywhere then we needed to stop he assured me that I was not waisting my time and that he loved me so I continued to be with him and he continued to call me a friend then one day out of the blue I was informed that he had found someone and he was in love and that wasit it was over before i knew it oh well i guess it's my fault that had disaster writen all over it!!!!

I feel that man who will not commit to dating status and is letting you know that is just plain not interested in dating. Maryann, you know you really need to know. If a man wants you to be his "little secret", then tell him to find someone who will agree to his terms. Tell him you will make yourself available to date others, wish him well, and don't take his phone calls or return his calls either. Forget about him. He either has a girlfriend, is married, or is immature. None of those fit the category of man you should date. Date a man who wants to date and is happy to be seen in public with you and doesn't mind your friends knowing you are dating him. Period.

Listen, I am a "man's little dirty secret" right now he is not married bu t he is living with someone right who is much older and keeps him up financially. I am not the first person that i will say "Will" has seen on the person that he is living with. I have known will for almost two years he is my stepdad's nephew but he is adopted by his dad and my stepdad is just related to me through being married to my mother. My mother and stepfather are enraged by us seeing each other at first because they know is Will is and because they know that i went through a really bad time with my ex-husband cheating on me as well. Because of this i didnt date for many years and then Will approached me about wanting to see and at first I thought that we were going to date but then he stated to me immediately that or heavily intiated wanting to have sex with me but that we were friends and that he was not just coming to my house to have sex but that he wanted to show how much he cared for me. Will is exceptionally sexy and charming and to have someone like this was great to me. By this time, my self-esteem was knocked way out so to have a guy like this was great I am not a dog or anything but i just dont feel good about myself. when your husband leaves you for a teenager you tend to feel like this. anyway, i thought after many years and feeling like i could handle this type of relationship which would be a friendly physical relationship. Well I was already crazy over Will from where I had known him and overall he is a great guy. But it seems like he doesnt want anyone to know about us, which I did tell him that I didnt want him to say anything about us to his family because of my mother but i never really noticed how far he would carry this. anyway, we have had sex three different occassions and he has taken advantage and promised to do things for me or that he would see me again soon. but i will go for days, weeks, and now even months without hearing from him. I have fallen in love with him I know that and i do hate that we will never be given the chance that i feel that we should be given, but as long as he is with his girlfriend who he talks about openly, get it openly, and he wants to keep us a secret he will never change the situation. because it is the way that he wants it. and the time that we do spend together our sexual expeireinces is about pleasing him and not me. We never go out and I have to pay for anything that we eat or anywhere we go. I would have never put up with this before and why am I putting up with it now. Oh he promised once he gets back from deployment in Iraq that he will come back to where i live which is where he is originally from he lives in another city right now with his live- in girlfriend. he states that he does not love her and that he is not happy and that she is controlling but yet he stays they are not married and they have no children and she is the one that pays the bills so why he cant leave i do not know why if he is so unhappy. i just do not understand and i know that he is not going anywhere because of the way he talks about them in front of me like we have just had sex and then he is talking about her in front of me. how cruel. well anyway, i gave him a key and i told him that i had feelings for him very soon from the start and now i just feel that i am being used and that i am not good enough for him and the only thing that i can do is be available when he comed in for national guard drill. i often question if he did leave diane and got with me would it be because he loves me or because i will keep him and also would he cheat on me like he has cheated on her if he can get away with it and i not sure that i could go through that again. i thought that i could change him and he used to im me and email and call me and now he doesnt even do that and i know he is able to get a hold of me if he really wanted to. i am sure that he will write and correspond with me when he is over in Iraq but if i am not good enough to see except for sex and a little companionship and that is it. then why should i be good enough to correspond with him when he goes to Iraq. I pray for his safety but I am done with this situation, I just hope that we can be friends because we are in the same family but as anything else nothing more. i am ending it.for myself and my sanity. i am not going to say it will be easy because will is very handsome and charming but i have to do it. he will have to give everything up if he wants me and he will have to shout that he wants me from the rooftops and take responsibility for his own living if he wants me. we will just see.

The guy she is seeing can be married. Some married men have a lot of free time (even week-ends), and say they are single. If a woman is the one, he would be proud of showing her off not keep the relationship a "secret".
