ok so i split up from my ex about a year and 4 months ago, i have had a couple of dates since then but had never really gotten over my ex.
she wanted me back to begin with and i told her to leave me alone seeing as both my aunt and grandmother had passed away within weeks of eachother and i needed to be alone, she found her strength during this period and by the time i realised that i had made a horrible mistake it was too late. we had been together for 2 years and i beleive whilst we were together she would have done anything for me. I spoke to her again about 4 months ago when she got back from a holiday in jamaica and i found out she met someone there. since then i still have had no luck in moving on at all, i dont seem to stop regretting me decision and move on. about a month ago i sent her an sms asking for one more chance but she told me that she was seeing this guy from holiday still. Today i bumped into her and her mum in a store in our town, ( i used to get on with her parents extremely well) the three of us had a quick chat and i told them how i had recently smashed my car up on the motorway. all throught the conversation i couldnt look my ex in the eye for more than 2 seconds. i left wishing them a merry xmas and went home. since then i have sent her another sms asking her to wish her sister and father a merry xmas as well seeing as i had forgotten to mention them earlier, really it was an excuse to talk to her again, i asked her how things were with the guy she met and now it turns out that she isnt seeing him anymore and is single. i told her that i was sorry to hear that, when she messaged me back saying its fine and she wasnt really that bothered i couldnt resist asking her if she would like to go for a drink sometime. Her reply was not right now as her work had just given her more hours to do and she barely has any social life at the moment, so i suggested to her that if she wants to tell me to just give it up she should go ahed and do that, she replied, "nah thats cool. thanks for the invite tho" so i said, well you have my number if you change your mind, wished her merry xmas and she wished me the same.
now the question is, was she just blowing me off? should i wait until after xmas and try to persuade her again or should i just keep trying to forget her? really stuck on this one and have been for a long time.
any advice would be appreciated
thanks
Martin
