I think your emotions towards this girl are telling you how to act - you just don´t want to be around her. So it seems to me it´s best, at this moment, to take some distance.
You probably feel rejected by her, as well you might after what happened when she found out you were interested in her. So if you follow what your gut is telling you (get away from her), this will be beneficial in two ways:
- you´ll protect yourself from further hurt
- you´ll probably win her respect.

If you just act as if nothing happened, she´ll probably feel you don´t respect yourself, and there is a posibility she´ll be tempted to play with your feelings some. Of course, it doesn´t have to be that way, she´s probably a perfectly decent person, but you don´t want to run the risk of being treated like the doormat-good guy-friend who gets to hear all her problems with other guys.
Another things that happens with girls and women, is that when a guy acts indifferent after we thought he was crazy for us, he kinda becomes more attractive than he used to be. But you can´t really fake this indifference. Just feeling your anger/disapointment and acting on it should be enough. So don´t stress it pretending you want to be friends with her, just be honest to yourself.
