Seven months ago I met a guy who'd come into
my office (we'd spoken on the phone a few times--his company was working for ours) and he was cute! I got a
little bit of a vibey-smile from him so I shot him a message later that
day (against all better judgment I had to go with my gut) to
tell him we should 'hang out' some time. Well, he bit and we ended up
going on a great date (he paid, was sweet, funny and we kissed)
however I made the mistake (I think) of coming on a little too strong
in emails after the date. Either that or it was the fact that he lives
2 hours away (I didn't know that. I assumed he lived near where we both
worked). I didn't see him after that one date. I was bummed.
Regardless, Saturday night (I really liked him. I
was so thrilled that I forgot about your no-reply on weekend night
rule) he requested to add me on Facebook. I wrote him a short little "hi. how
are you? hope you're well" Well, it turns out he's moved into the area
and he asked me to "show him some cool places" and after further
chatter it turns out cool places means he wants to take me on a date
later this week. We've made the date and he's made it clear he's looking forward to seeing me again.
The problem is, we kissed quite a bit on our first date seven months ago.. do I play it a little shy on this date and not kiss him because I haven't heard from him in 7 mo.? Should that even factor into the consideration or should I treat this as a second first date?
